Carnival Triumph departed Mobile, Alabama last week, under its own power, to enter dry dock in Freeport, The Bahamas ahead of final repairs, new operating enhancements and new Fun Ship 2.0 additions.

She is expected to re-enter regular service out of Galveston, Texas from 13 June 2013.

“With the ship temporarily out of service for repairs, we decided to take the opportunity to add a host of new dining and bar venues that are part of our tremendously popular fleetwide Fun Ship 2.0 enhancement program,” Carnival Cruise Lines president and CEO Gerry Cahill said.

New features being added to the ship include: ‘Guy’s Burger Joint’; ‘BlueIguana Cantina’; and ‘Alchemy Bar’.
