Entering a 14-day drydock in Honolulu, Hawaii on 23 March 2013, the revitalisation will include the addition of 24 ultra-luxurious suites, four Studio Staterooms and four Inside Staterooms.

The 24 new Suites will be positioned on Deck 13 and will feature premium custom furnishings, carpets and luxurious bathrooms.

Two of the suites will be Deluxe Owners Suites sized at 556 square-feet, sleeping up to four guests and featuring a large bedroom, separate living area and state-of-the-art bathroom.

The remaining 22 suites will be Family Suites sized from 363 to 416 square-feet sleeping up to six guests.

Interconnecting doors between the two Deluxe Owners Suites and Family Suites will offer space for up to ten guests to sleep when combined and two Family Balcony Suites will be ADA compliant to comfortably accommodate disabled passengers.

The Deluxe Owner Suites will feature 410 square-foot balconies, the largest in the fleet.

“We want to ensure that we are continuing to enhance the guest experience on this one-of-a-kind vessel,” Norwegian Cruise Line’s chief executive office said.

Suite guests will also be privy to dedicated butler and concierge service plus exclusive amenities including Lavazza Espresso Makers, Elemis bath products and private dining for breakfast and lunch.

Priced at only a fraction more than twin-share, four new studio staterooms will cater to solo cruisers, featuring a full-size bed and separate bathroom area with an additional four new inside staterooms also added to Deck 13.

The revitalisation will also include the conversion of ‘Lazy J’s Steakhouse’ to Norwegian’s signature Brazilian steakhouse, ‘Moderno Churrascaria’, ship-wide WiFi, new carpeting, flat screen televisions in all staterooms, refreshed decor in the ‘Aloha Cafe’, renovations to the Photo and Art Galleries and an upgrade to the fitness centre.

New suites and staterooms will go on sale from 1 October 2012 for voyages beginning 7 September 2013 withPride of America returning to service post drydock in early April 2013.
