Passengers will be given the opportunity to interact with Mr Matsuhisa nightly when he mingles in his two specialty restaurants with several exclusive events onboard celebrating the master chef’s sailing.
An intimate hands-on cooking class will be offered in Crystal’s kitchen for 10-12 guests along with autograph signings of “NOBUS’s Vegetarian Cookbook” and “NOBU the Cookbook” and Sake testing with Japanese hors d’oevres, hosted by Sake Master Fumio Hazu.
Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity have been serving Nobu’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion complimentary since 2003 and 2008 respectively with Mr Matsuhisa personally training all chegs, designing all menus and visiting the ships personally every year to further refine the offering.
“This visit, Nobu really wanted to have more personal interaction and time with the guests who have helped make his only ocean-going culinary venture such a success through the years,” Crystal Cruises vice president food and beverage operations Toni Neumeister said.
The 12-day western European and Mediterranean voyage departs from London on 24 May and calls into Bordeaux/Bassens, Lisbon, Gibralter, Monte Carlo, Florence/Livorno and Porto Venere before arriving in Rome.
