The one where Costa Concordia survivors were given a deadline…

Survivors of the Costa Concordia tragedy face a 12 February deadline to submit their claims for lost luggage and personal effects.

Cruise Law News reports that all passengers must submit a “written notice of the claim with full particulars” to Costa Cruises directly, or an authorised agent, within 30 days of the incident or risk not satisfying the necessary precedent before a lawsuit can be filed.

Walker and O’Neill Maritime Lawyers have offered all survivors complimentary assistance with submitting property damage notices and will not charge a fee on any portion of the first USD$14,600 obtained by their clients seeking damages for emotional suffering or physical injuries.

The firm has called on their clients to be patient once they submit the relevant notices to Costa Cruises and will be negotiating directly with the cruise line to obtain fair compensation.

Survivors have been encouraged to contact jwalker@cruiselaw.com with any questions concerning their claim from Costa Cruises.
