Oceania Cruises will present ‘Signature Sailings’ in 2012 as their first foray into themed cruises.

Currently comprising of 10 voyages, passengers will experience culinary, wine, music, health and wellness themes complete with surprises and special guests.

“We are delighted to introduce theme cruises for 2012,” Oceania Cruises president Bruce J. Himelstein said.

“While groups that share the same interests have regularly sailed with Oceania Cruises in the past, our new ‘Signature Sailings’ create a special opportunity for guests to experience the cruise in the company of fellow travelers who share their passion for the them.”

The theme cruises on offer include a dedicated ‘Jacques Pépin Cruise’ featuring the executive culinary director himself.

Mr Pepin will position himself in his onboard restaurant, ‘Jacques’ along with hosting Q&A sessions, cooking demonstrations and book signings in the ‘Bon Appétit Culinary Centre’ on the 12 May 2012 voyage from Barcelona to Rome.

Epicureans also have the chance to experience the ‘Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival’ on two sailings featuring culinary stars, wine experts and food editors in October 2012.

Jazz music will be celebrated on the ‘Spring Music Fest’ which will feature six guest musicians and Oceania Cruises’ past passengers will be the guests of honour for two exclusive reunion cruises in June 2012 and March 2013.

Wine connoisseurs will be catered to on the ‘Italian Wine Immersion Cruise’ in July 2012 travelling from Rome to Venice with lectures, tastings and Wine Bars complete with guest experts and musicians.

The ‘Vitality and Wellness Cruise’ will set sail twice in 2012 and will offer passengers tips regarding nutrition and fitness along with classes including yoga, cycle and pilates at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub.

Oceania’s ‘Signature Sailings’ are set to commence in May 2012 and are currently scheduled through to March 2013.
