The one where Costa Favalosa headed to the UAE…

The newest flagship in Costa’s fleet will be the largest and most advanced cruise ship to operate in the region when she arrives in the UAE to sail her seven-night ‘Jewels of the Emirates’ itineraries.

Announced at the Seatrade Middle East Cruise Convention last week, the decision reinforces the line’s presence in the region.

“The Costa Favalosa will be the largest and most advanced ship ever deployed in the region,” Costa Cruises president Gianni Onorato said.

“She will offer our guests the truly unique opportunity to visit the most intriguing destinations in the UAE and Oman on board an Italian cruise ship providing superb comfort, exclusive services and state-of-the-art hi-tech entertainment.”

Costa Favalosa will arrive in Dubai on 16 December 2011 and will remain in the region until 6 April 2012.

The ‘Jewels of the Emirates’ itinerary will incorporate two days in Dubai before embarking on one day visits to Muscat, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Khasab before returning for another overnight in Dubai.

  1. I believe that it’s wonderful to have a cruise ship based in the area for the designated period. I would only ask that cruise ship passengers be sensitive and respectful to the social etiquette of the region when visiting. I wish everyone a safe and happy cruise, it should prove to be a wonderful experience.
