The one where dancing took to the high seas…

Crystal Serenity will play host to those who think they can dance and those who just like to try, in December this year when the ‘Big Band and Ballroom Dance’ cruise sails from Lisbon to Miami.

The renowned 20-piece Glenn Miller Orchestra will headline this 13-day dance extravaganza at sea that will also feature dance lessons ranging from swing to salsa and double the number of dance instructors.

Women without dance partners need not despair with extra Ambassador Hosts to twirl them around the dance floor until late into the night.

Themed lectures about iconic musicians from the ‘big band era’ will also feature on board by Columbia jazz professor Robert O’Meally.

“Ballroom dancing has had a rebirth lately, with people of all ages wanting to either watch or participate in the glamour,” said Bret Bullock, entertainment vice president for Crystal Cruises.

“This cruise offers a luxury immersion into that world. When set to live music from one of the greatest instrumental bands ever, against the backdrop of historic Lisbon, exotic Casablanca, the lush Canary Islands, tropical St. Maarten and art deco Miami, it’s like living a real-life movie.”
