Chairman and co-founder Glenn McGrath was in attendance along with guest MC Johanna Griggs and “The Voice” finalist Darren Percival who entertained the 80 guests dining in the ship’s specialty restaurant Tuscan Grille.

Celebrity Cruises has a proud history of raising funds for breast cancer research both off and onboard, with each godmother of their ‘Solstice-class’ vessels a woman who has had personal experience with breast cancer.

“We are delighted to extend our support into the southern hemisphere for the very first time onboard Celebrity Solstice, whose godmother is oceanographer, Professor Sharon L. Smith,” Celebrity Cruises Australia managing director Gavin Smith said.

Celebrity Cruises donated a hot pink piece of art created onboard by Celebrity Solstice’s Corning Glass Museum glass artisans and an eight-night Pacific Islands cruise to the evening’s auction to raise funds for the Foundation.
