The one where Passengers get to the Fun Faster on Carnival

Carnival Liberty in Cozumel – May 2012

Carnival Imagination and Carnival Liberty will play host to the pilot of Carnival’s new ‘Faster to the Fun’ program, which will provide guests with an array of exclusive benefits including priority embarkation and express luggage delivery.

Running separately to Carnival’s VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) Club, ‘Faster to the Fun’ will be available for purchase through Carnival’s shore excursion panel online for the 20 August Carnival Imaginationand 25 August Carnival Liberty sailings for USD$49.95 per stateroom.

The program was designed as a result of guest feedback and offers early embarkation, early stateroom availability, express luggage delivery service to staterooms, express access to the ship’s guest services desk, priority dinner seatings and tender availability and a choice of early or late debarkation.

Capacity controlled, the amount of ‘Faster to the Fun’ programs available will be dependent on the amount of Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members sailing on any given voyage.

Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members will always be given preference and will still maintain exclusive entry (along with Gold members) to the VIFP Club party.

Carnival Cruise Lines senior cruise director, John Heald, has been fielding questions regarding the pilot program on his Facebook page since the announcement.

“Faster to the Fun is capacity controlled and will be strictly monitored…the extra benefits that the Faster to the Fun guests pay for will be complimentary to Platinum and Diamond VIFP members of course,” Mr Heald said on Facebook today.

Diamond and Platinum VIFP club members will also still receive priority over ‘Faster to the Fun’ guests when it comes to dining requests pre-sailing and once on board.

The maître d’ will clear all Diamond requests, then all Platinum requests, before clearing ‘Faster to the Fun’ requests.

‘Faster to the Fun’ guests will join Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members in the VIP line through security at the cruise terminal, but will head to a check-in counter rather than the VIP lounge, which will remain reserved for Platinum and Diamond VIFP Club members.
