The 140,000 tonne sister of the soon-to-be-launched MSC Divina, has reportedly been floated out of the STX France shipyards.
Displaying the MSC logo on her funnel and the name Preziosa on her hull, Cruise Industry News reports that, following a series of payment defaults by the Libyan Maritime Authority, the ship was turned over to insurance companies resulting in the ultimate takeover by the cruise line.
Originally slated for a December 2012 delivery, MSC is expected to make changes to the vessel with a new delivery date of early 2013 now anticipated.
In a statement to e-Travel Blackboard this morning, MSC Cruises is still in the early stages of confirming itineraries for MSC Preziosa with further details regarding her features yet to be announced.
