Lis Lauritzen is set to be named Royal Caribbean’s second ever female captain later this month when she takes the helm of Vision of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean was the first cruise line to appoint a female captain in March 2007 when Karin Stahre-Janson commanded Monarch of the Seas.
The news comes days after Sarah Breton sailed through Sydney harbour as captain of P&O Cruises’ Pacific Pearl.
